Visayan Binangon – This is a sword from TFW that we have not had in stock for many years. The exact history of it is hard to find though I am still doing research to find it. I have it as Visayan here but I have also seen it said that is is from Binangonan, Rizal Province. That can be possible being they city and the name of the sword are so similar.
The Visayan Binangon is thought to have originated in the Panay Island in the Visayan region of the Central Philippines. With nine inches of the top spine sharpened like a razor, this is one devastatingly fast sword for back-cuts. The abaniko (fanning) and with Florrete (flowery looking counter offensive moves within FMA fighting tactics work perfectly with that back edge making it a dangerous sword compared to those that do not have this back edge. The sword is so well engineered, you can feel it wants to do what it was created to do for you. Thats one of the big quality TFW is known for besides holding an edge well after its use.
A stained hardwood handle and two-and-a-half inch blued steel ferrule and intricately carved scabbard top off this gorgeous sword. A fitting addition to any collection or test cutting inventory. As with all TFW swords, you are getting a top notch combat ready blade at an extremely reasonable price. This quality is matched nowhere else. Hand tempered high carbon steel blade stays sharp and will cut through just about anything!
