Welcome to the CLUB – Kali, Arnis, Eskrima Sticks – By popular demand, many people have been asking about bigger, fatter training sticks. Many are just very big people with big hands, then there are those who just like to have a fatter stick to work with. Many FMA instructors have their students train with a bigger stick so when they get down to using a smaller on like the others on the TFW web site, they feel very light, fast and easy to wield.

These sticks are made from Indonesian rattan. This particular rattan is considerably more durable than Filipino rattan and slightly heavier, as well. TFW rattan sticks are known to break apart other practitioners’ Filipino rattan sticks during hard training drills.

Note that we do not burn our sticks. Taking a blow torch to rattan is NOT a fire hardening technique. That is a myth. Burning rattan only makes it brittle. We are confident that you will be very happy with these sticks.
